01. Product & Care
All Maathi creations are made from 100% pure silk, linen, cotton, and lace, carefully sourced for the highest quality and ethical standards. Our mulberry silk and satin silk come from India, ethically sourced directly from artisans who carefully weave each thread, supporting traditional craftsmanship. Linen is from France for its softness and durability, cotton from India is chosen for long-staple fibers that age beautifully, and lace is crafted by Sophie Hallette in France, renowned for exquisite artisanal quality.
We explored sources across the globe to find the finest fabrics, ensuring each Maathi piece is crafted with care, integrity, and a respect for ethical and sustainable practices, resulting in travel pieces that are timeless, heirloom-worthy, and made to be cherished.
Each Maathi piece is designed to be long-lasting and treasured. We recommend gentle hand washing or professional dry cleaning, depending on the fabric, to maintain texture, color, and shape. Silk and lace are delicate, while cotton and linen can be cared for with light, natural detergents. Following care instructions preserves the timeless beauty and heirloom quality of your pieces.
To make care easier, Maathi offers organic cotton garment bags with signature pieces, also available for purchase on our website.
All Maathi buttons are handmade from 100% brass and gold-plated. To preserve their finish, avoid harsh chemicals, perfumes, or excessive moisture. Gently wipe with a soft cloth and store garments carefully to prevent scratching or bending.
Due to their craftsmanship, spare buttons are not provided. All button repairs are handled in our Paris atelier to preserve the integrity and quality of each piece. Please contact customercare@maathi.com for guidance on repairs or replacements.

Yes. At Maathi, we embrace slow fashion and longevity, ensuring each piece remains a treasured part of your wardrobe. All repairs and alterations are conducted in our Paris atelier, so garments must be sent to our headquarters in France.
In the spirit of sustainability, we also encourage exploring local tailor services for minor repairs when possible, helping reduce carbon miles while keeping your pieces beautiful and wearable.

02. Orders & Shipping
Maathi accepts a range of secure online payments:Visa, Mastercard, American Express,PayPal,Apple Pay,Google Pay, andShop Pay. All transactions are processed securely to protect your information.
We ship globally from France, except in exceptional circumstances. For any questions, please contact our customer service.
Orders cannot be modified once placed. However, contact our Customer Care team at customercare@maathi.com before shipment, and we can assist with cancellation so you may place a new order. Our team operates duringFrance business hoursand will do their best to action requests promptly.
All international orders are shipped on a DDP (Delivery Duty Paid) basis, meaning duties and taxes are included at checkout. No hidden fees will appear upon delivery. Duties and taxes paid are non-refundable if you return your item, though you may be able to recover them via your local customs office.
Every Maathi piece begins its journey from our atelier in Paris and is shipped from our headquarters in France. Each order is carefully prepared to preserve the texture, integrity, and story of the piece.
03. Returns & Exchanges
Yes. In line with French law, standard Maathi pieces may be returned within 14 days of receipt.
Contact customercare@maathi.com with your order details, and we’ll provide instructions to return your piece to our headquarters in France.
We will issue a full refund, including standard delivery costs, once the returned item is received in original, unworn condition. Duties or import taxes are non-refundable but may be recoverable via your local customs office.
For exchanges, contact us directly. All exchanges are handled from our Paris atelier to ensure the highest quality.

04. Preorders
A preorder allows you to reserve a Maathi travel piece before it arrives in stock, ensuring you receive it as soon as it is crafted and ready to ship. Preorders support small, intentional productions and our slow-fashion philosophy.
Dates are listed on each product page. As each piece is crafted with care alongside artisans, delivery may shift slightly due to production rhythms or logistics. Customers are notified promptly of any changes.
Payment is processed at the time of preorder to confirm your reservation, securing your piece until it is ready.
Orders containing both preorder and in-stock items ship once the preorder piece is ready. If delays occur, available items will ship immediately at no extra cost, and preorder items follow as soon as possible.
Preordered items follow our standard returns and exchanges policy.
Yes. Contact customercare@maathi.com at any time to cancel your preorder for a full refund.
